Voices from Within Israel: Michal Uziel Peleg

Michal Uziel Peleg, who served as JEWISHcolorado’s Shlicha from 2011 to 2015, is set to become the new Mayor of the Eshkol Regional Council on November 19, 2024. Just before taking office, she’ll join us for an exclusive interview to share her journey and vision for the Eshkol region. This special conversation will be featured in our next session of Voices from Within, a program led by our Shlicha, Nelly Ben Tal, in collaboration with the Boulder JCC. 

Located along Israel’s border with Gaza and Egypt, Eshkol is a resilient community deeply impacted by the October 7 attacks. Michal’s roots in Eshkol run deep; she has established community centers, launched Israel’s first Western Negev tourism network, and led initiatives to strengthen Eshkol’s development and resilience.
