Hillel Academy's 70th Anniversary Gala Dinner

On May 30^th,  at 6:30 PM, Hillel Academy will host their 70th Anniversary Gala Dinner, at the BMH-BJ social hall.  The theme of this year’s dinner is “Journeys: 70 Years of Leading Us into Tomorrow”.  The community is invited to join Hillel Academy for an elegant evening of inspiration, delicious food, and musical entertainment, that is sure to be an unforgettable and unique opportunity to celebrate seven decades of success. 

Hillel Academy is thrilled to have internationally renowned singer Shulem Lemmer as the live entertainment for the evening.  Raised in Boro Park, Brooklyn, Shulem’s voice has gained widespread attention throughout the world.  Shulem made history as the first born-and-raised Orthodox singer to sign a major record deal in the U.S.  His contract with Universal Music’s Decca Gold Label launched him as an artist to a global audience. 

This year, Hillel Academy will honor Mr. Lewis Abrams for 50 years of dedicated service in teaching.  Mr. Abrams has spent fifty years educating well over 1,000 children, consistently teaching foundational skills in Hebrew, Chumash and Tefilla – skills that form the basis of a lifetime of successful learning for his students.  At Hillel Academy’s 70th anniversary dinner, it is appropriate to pay tribute to Mr. Lewis Abrams as he ends his illustrious career the way he started it – humbly and with much devotion to his students.
