In late October, a group of business leaders, public officials including alumni of the JCRC Public Officials Mission to Israel, and JEWISHcolorado leaders joined Ramat HaNegev Regional Council Mayor Eran Doron for lunch and a discussion of issues of common concern.

Mayor Doron shared insights about agricultural and water technology being developed in Ramat HaNegev—innovations that have relevance here in Colorado—as well as opportunities for economic initiatives in the wake of the signing of the Abraham Accords between Israel and the UAE and Bahrain.

In the subsequent conversation, Mayor Doron and those in attendance explored these and other ways Colorado and Ramat HaNegev can deepen their longstanding and fruitful partnership. He thanked the officials for their continued engagement and collaboration and said he looks forward to welcoming the 2021 Public Officials Mission delegation, which will touch down in Israel next month for a seven-day trip.
