A Visit to L.A. Offers Incredible Access and Lasting Connections
JEWISHcolorado’s newest initiative, the Real Estate & Construction Network, took a group of local real estate professionals to connect with its counterpart, the decades-old Real Estate and Construction Network of the Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles. The trip began with a tour of Carmel Partners’ Cumulus, Harridge Development’s up-and-coming projects at Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Mall and Crossroads Hollywood, a behind-the-scenes tour of Griffith Observatory and Dodger Stadium with the architect behind the historic renovations, Brenda Levin of Levin and Associates, and a tour of the Frank Gehry Project – The Conrad Hotel and The Grand. The two federation’s Real Estate and Construction Networks had a joint cocktail hour at Bar Pendry and JEWISHcolorado’s Real Estate & Construction Network joined Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles Real Estate and Construction Network’s State of The Market Breakfast at Brentwood Country Club.
One of the participants, Alex Reber, a Broker with Madison & Company Properties, LTD, said “The trip was incredible! Being able to network with the LA Federation at their breakfast event was a great opportunity to meet new people. I am excited about the future networking opportunities between the two federations.”
The trip came on the heels of two buzz-worthy events for Colorado’s new network, including a gathering at the Block 162 new office tower in downtown Denver, and a take-over of Safta restaurant featuring real estate roundtables on hot topics as well as remarks by Colorado Governor Jared Polis.
Participants in all events are asked to make a philanthropic gift to support the work of JEWISHcolorado both locally and in communities around the world. “While Industry group philanthropy is not new, members of the Real Estate group see the incredible access and networking value that this provides, and it is also a way to give back to the community that fuels the industry,” said Mark Sidell, chair of the Real Estate group. “This is truly a win-win.”
