Come Together: Noa Tishby & All That Jazz
Come Together, with Noa Tishby and a performance by the Andy Statman Trio, will take place Wednesday, June 15, at 6:00 pm, in the new Martin Wing of the Denver Art Museum.
Join Event and Annual Campaign Chair Lisa Mintz, Board Chair Rob Kaufmann, event sponsor Larry A. Mizel, and JEWISHcolorado President & CEO Rabbi Jay Strear for community, conversation, and celebration.
Noa Tishby: Speaking from the Heart
Featured speaker Noa Tishby is Tel Aviv-born actress, producer, writer, activist, and author of Israel: A Simple Guide to the Most Misunderstood Country on Earth. Just this month, Israeli Foreign Minister Yair Lapid appointed Tishby as the state’s first-ever special envoy for combating antisemitism and the delegitimization of Israel.
Tishby will “act on behalf of the Foreign Ministry to spearhead initiatives worldwide before key audiences, generate an international dialogue, and respond to acts of antisemitism,” Lapid’s office said in a statement. “The creation of this post and the appointment of Noa Tishby is another step that will strengthen Israel and our fight against antisemitism internationally at a moment when Jews around the world once again face an alarming and dramatic resurgence in antisemitism,” Lapid said, calling the 44-year-old “one of the world’s most influential Jews.”
The Andy Statman Trio: Music to Your Ears
Plus, direct from Brooklyn, don’t miss the Grammy-nominated Andy Statman Trio. Statman, who’s been called “Bill Monroe and John Coltrane poured into one person,” leads the trio in “spontaneous American roots music and personal, prayerful Hasidic music, by way of avant-garde jazz.”
Nourish Your Body & Soul
The in-person celebration will include cocktails and sophisticated fare that will delight your palate while you schmooze with familiar faces and make new friends. Then, sit down for a theater-style presentation that is not-to-be-missed.
Tickets are now on sale for $180 per person. Inquire about a virtual option if you cannot attend in person. Special young professionals pricing and benefit packages for members of our Giving Societies are also available.
