Bridging Cultures: African American Experiences in Routt County

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, COLORADO- January 10th 2025– STAND (Steamboat Team to disrupt Anti-Semitism and Discrimination) is holding its eighth public convening:

Library Hall at Bud Werner Library
Light refreshments provided by STAND
Babysitting provided if there is demand

Keeping with its mission to disrupt bias and discrimination, this community convening will focus on witnessing the stories and experiences of African Americans in Routt County.

Convening will be facilitated by Maggie Taylor, Patrick Madden, Alissa Merage, and Renzo Walton. Participants will have the opportunity to examine real local case studies related to STANDing up as allies for the African American community and brainstorm ways our community can come together to combat discrimination.

Past STAND convenings have developed a mission to foster positivity, kindness, awareness, and inclusion in Routt County. The entire Routt County Community is invited to attend.
