Rabbi Abraham Cooper
Vail Mountain School, 3000 Booth Falls Rd, Vail, CO.
AUDIENCE: in partnership with B’nai Vail, all audiences
Join us in Vail to hear Rabbi Abraham Cooper, Associate Dean and Director of Global Social Action for the Simon Wiesenthal Center, a leading global Jewish human rights organization.
Rabbi Abraham Cooper is an international expert on antisemitism, global social action, online hate and terrorism and religious freedom. He regularly appears on national media speaking about PR and religious-based propaganda, digital terrorism, human rights and more, working with a broad spectrum of interfaith and global partners. In addition to meeting with popes and other religious and political leaders, he has met with television celebrities such as Nick Cannon following antisemitic remarks, resulting in Cannon making public statements about anti-bullying and promoting awareness of the problems of antisemitism.
Cooper’s broad approaches to addressing religious freedom and online hate helped lead to his appointment as the Chair of the United States Commission on International Religious Freedom in 2023. Join us as Cooper guides us through a look at antisemitism, religious freedom and online bullying with a broad but realistic global social action lens.
There will be a free livestream option if anyone from the front range or beyond is unable to make it.
