Kites for Peace

On the morning of October 7, 2023, just like every year, there was supposed to be a Kite Festival on Kibbutz Kfar Aza in Southern Israel. This annual kite festival sends a message of peace to neighboring Gaza by flying kites to the sky instead of rockets and bombs that frequented the area from Hamas well before October 7. Unfortunately, last year the kite festival never happened because of the fateful attack on Kfar Aza and the entirety of the southern region of Israel. We will be recreating this kite festival here in Routt County in memory of all that was lost on October 7. Please join us in sending our collective intentions for hope and peace up to the sky and out into the world.
