Live Stream Masa Hosts Yom HaZikaron Ceremony

Masa Israel Journey will host the largest English Yom HaZikaron ceremony for the 15^th year. The ceremony will honor victims of terror and fallen Israeli soldiers who gave their lives to protect the State of Israel. The ceremony will take place Monday, April 24 at 7:50 p.m. Israel Standard Time. 

Masa Israel Journey will hold their 15th annual Yom HaZikaron ceremony, the largest English ceremony in the world, at Yad L’Shiryon in Latrun, Israel. Jewish leaders and members of the U.S House of Representatives will join community members, bereaved families, and 7,000 others to commemorate the lives of fallen Israeli soldiers and Jewish victims of terror around the world. This year marks the largest ceremony Masa has ever held, and as we approach Israel’s 75th anniversary it is an important reminder that we are forever connected through our history and the safety and continued survival of our country. Eight wreaths will be laid by the bereaved families and members of the Israeli government and Knesset in honor of the stories that will be shared.

This year’s ceremony will honor the lives of Joyce Fienberg z”l, victim of the Tree of Life synagogue shooting in Pittsburgh, Second Lieutenant Carmi Elan z”l, Los Angeles born pilot who died in a training accident, Officer Shirel Aboukarat z”l, 19-year-old Border Police Officer killed by terrorists after making Aliyah from France, Michael Ladygin z”l Russian native who made Aliyah and was murdered by a terrorist in Ariel, Captain Alexander (Sasha) Schwartzman z”l, IDF soldier from Ukraine who was killed in battle, and Uriel Bar-Maimon Wolf z”l, Border Guard Officer from Argentina that fell during operational activities at the Erez checkpoint.
