October 7th Commemoration

October 7, 2024, will mark one year since Hamas launched its attacks on Israel, murdering more than 1,200 people, kidnapping more than 250 others, and unleashing alarming rates of antisemitism, and changing our lives forever.

What hasn’t changed is our Jewish community’s undeniable strength and resilience.

This October 7, join JEWISHcolorado and many partner organizations for an afternoon of age-appropriate family activities at the Staenberg-Loup JCC, and an evening, community-wide gathering to mark this moment at Temple Emanuel, to be inspired, and look toward a brighter future together. Registration is required.

Featuring Guest Speaker Noam Weissman:
Dr. Noam Weissman is the Executive Vice President of OpenDor Media (Unpacked), which since 2009 has been a pioneer in the production of engaging, informative, and inspiring Jewish-and-Israel-related educational media to address the challenges young Jews face today. Noam spearheads the educational vision and content creation at OpenDor Media. He leads a team of producers and educators for the Unpacked brand, which reaches millions of young Jews and non-Jews yearly through articles, videos, and social media. Noam is also the host of Unpacking Israeli History, which consistently trends as the #1 Jewish podcast across the globe and leads the Unpacked for Educators division, which is used by over 10,000 educators across the globe, and recently launched a new platform for independent schools to teach about Israel and antisemitism, called ConnectED.
