Event Details

JEWISHcolorado is excited to partner with Keshet to host a two-part virtual program: Pathways Towards Mental Health and Wellness for LGBTQ+ Jews.

Join Kohenet Dr. Harriette E. Wimms and Dr. Dani Rosenkrantz as we explore the psychosocial factors impacting the mental health experiences of Jewish LGBTQ+ people, as well as external and internal stressors that contribute to distress and trauma. We will learn what contributes to resilience in this population, including pride, joy, and community connections. Through the use of clinical vignettes depicting real-world circumstances facing LGBTQ Jews, we will develop individualized strengths-based interventions for providing support and affirming care to LGBTQ+ individuals and their families, schools, and communities within the context of Judaism.
