Exploring Judaism together!
Since 2013, Jewish Explorers has been bringing together Jewish, multifaith, multicultural, and intergenerational families with preschool and elementary school-aged children through joyful, inclusive, and relationship-centered opportunities to explore Jewish life together.
At Jewish Explorers, every aspect of our program is intentionally designed to create welcoming environments where every family feels valued, celebrated, and empowered to participate as their authentic selves. Within these environments, curiosity flourishes, creating opportunities for children and adults to ask questions, share their ideas, and discover Jewish life in ways that honor their unique backgrounds, perspectives, and journeys. Through these shared experiences, meaningful relationships grow, strengthening connections to one another, Jewish life, and community.
Our experiential engagement opportunities are grounded in three core Jewish values that guide everything we do:
- Hachnasat Orchim – Welcoming everyone with warmth and friendship
- Kavod – Treating one another with dignity and respect
- Gemilut Chasadim – Practicing loving-kindness through our words and actions
Jewish Explorers offers a wide range of programs to engage families and support them in strengthening their connections to each other and Jewish life.
- Monthly Jewish Explorers Programs: These programs run September – April, and welcome and support traditional and non-traditional learners.
- Family Program – For children ages 2-5 who participate along with their parents and grandparents
- K-5 Program – Drop-off program for students entering grades K-5
- Shabbat & Holiday Celebrations – Joyful gatherings hosted throughout the year that bring families together to celebrate Jewish culture, traditions, and holidays in community.
- Outside Explorers – Informal, peer-to-peer opportunities for families to gather, deepen friendships, and extend connections beyond our monthly experiences.
- Adult Jewish Explorers – Gatherings for parents and grandparents to build relationships, share experiences, and strengthen their own connections to Jewish community.
- Community-Wide Havdalah – Inclusive celebration that brings families from across the community together to connect, explore, and celebrate Jewish life in community.
