Jewish & Proud: Stay Vigilant, Stay Strong
The JEWISHcolorado Regional Security & Safety Initiative reminds community members to remain vigilant during these unsettling times.
The Secure Community Network (SCN) tracks all of these events across the United States, and although we have logged some incidents of antisemitic messages, emails and letters, at present, there have been no reports of violence in Colorado. Our Regional Security Advisor (RSA) Philip Niedringhaus remains in daily contact with local, state, and federal law enforcement across the state and is coordinating with law enforcement to ensure the safety and security of our community, particularly during planned rallies in support of Israel.
During periods of increased antisemitic rhetoric and violence, it is important for everyone in our Jewish community to remain both alert and aware of your surroundings. If you are the victim of any kind of antisemitic harassment, please call 911 immediately and report it to the police, providing them with as much information as you can about what happened. It is critical that any such incidents get reported as soon as possible.
If you receive or have received strange emails, messages, phone calls, or letters, please report them to pniedringhaus@securecommunitynetwork.org, so that he can determine if the information needs to be shared with the police.
The Regional Safety & Security Initiative is made possible through a partnership with Rose Community Foundation and SCN, with support from the ADL and the Jay and Rose Phillips Family Foundation.
