The experience
The Israel at 75 General Assembly kicks off on Sunday evening, April 23, in Tel Aviv and concludes on Wednesday, April 26. It will bring together leaders and participants from North America, Israel, and around the world to discuss issues important to Israel and the Diaspora. Participants will observe Yom Ha’Zikaron and then transition from mourning to a festival of joy marking Yom Ha’atzmaut with barbecues, music, dancing, and more.
The National Mission runs from April 19 through April 26. JFNA offers an “inspiring, fun-filled, educational, and immersive experience in Israel, deepening your understanding of the different populations and cultures that contribute to Israel’s diverse society.” Participants will go off the beaten track, meeting individuals and communities they would not encounter as regular tourists. The National Mission ends with participation in the General Assembly.
Israel at 75 General Assembly offers an opportunity to travel to Israel, participate in deep discussions about global issues, make new friends and renew old friendships, and engage in the life and culture of Israel at this milestone in the country’s life.
“It is now more important than ever that we show up for Israel and Israelis, coming together in our homeland as a united, global Jewish community. Whether you lean left, lean right, or find yourself staunchly in the center, the issues facing our people remain the same. Our focus as Jewish Federations is steadfast: we stand by Israel and provide unwavering support in ensuring Israelis are able to live life safely, productively, and fully.” — Jewish Federations of North America
