(DENVER) — The “One Happy Camper” summer camp grant program at JEWISHcolorado is accepting applications for the 2025 summer camp session. The One Happy Camper Program is a partnership between JEWISHcolorado and The Foundation for Jewish Camp (FJC). Summer Camp grants are available to eligible families sending their children to Jewish overnight camps for the first time.
The One Happy Camper grants are available to Colorado families with children entering grades 1-12 who are first-time campers. Applicants must plan to attend a Jewish overnight camp for at least 12 consecutive days. Grants can be used at any of the three Jewish overnight camps in Colorado or from a selection of more than 155 eligible Jewish camps nationwide. Campers attending for 12-19 days may receive a $700 grant, and those attending for more than 19 days are eligible for a $1,000 grant.
In 2024, JEWISHcolorado awarded more than $132,000 to 144 first-time campers who attended 32 camps across the country.
Said Cindy Coons, JEWISHcolorado’s Director of Jewish Explorers & Family Engagement, “Jewish summer camp helps campers further develop their own Jewish identity, feel connected to a greater community through shared Jewish values, experience the joy and beauty of Judaism in an immersive setting, and creates and cultivates lifelong friendships and unforgettable memories that help shape campers love of Judaism and pride in being Jewish.”
