Since our inception more than 75 years ago, JEWISHcolorado has evolved to meet the moment, and we must do so again: welcoming the challenges and embracing the opportunities that shape and strengthen our shared journey.
The last seven months have been some of the most difficult in recent history for Israel and the diasporic Jewish community, but we are proud of what we have accomplished with your help:
- Raised more than $8 million for JEWISHcolorado’s Israel Emergency Fund.
- Trained thousands of people, provided security assessments and security consultations to organizations statewide, at no cost to the community—all through our Safety and Security Initiative.
- Brought 175 people, including dozens of students, from Denver and Boulder to Washington, D.C. for the November March for Israel on the National Mall.
- Responded to K-12 schools and universities, around antisemitic and anti-Israel incidents and attacks; and working with our JCRC to defeat 9 city council cease-fire resolutions across the state.
- Took three volunteer missions to Israel, including one young adult mission.
- Increased to 14 the number of Jewish Student Connection clubs – safe spaces for Jewish students – in area public high schools across the front range and state.
- Launched Jewish Colorado Giving Day to help buoy all Jewish organizations across Colorado.
- Safety & Security: A gift of $10,000 will make a significant impact on our safety and security efforts providing funding for critical security assessment for Jewish agencies, organizations, schools and synagogues across the state.
- Jewish Student Connection (JSC) clubs: A gift of $3,600 will fund a JSC club for a full year, including program materials and pizza lunches for participants.
- Israel Study Tour (IST): A gift of $1,000 will provide crucial subsidies for IST participants in need this summer.
- PJ Library: A gift of $400 will provide 10 families with PJ Library books for a whole year.
- YAD: A gift of $180 will provide our YAD Ambassadors with stipends to host Jewish gatherings, including Shabbat dinners, across the front range.
We hope you will support the expansion of our work, as we continue to convene, connect, invest, and protect Jewish life in Colorado and around the world. We cannot do this without you.
