Whether you’re extroverted or introverted, from Colorado or not, Jewish or Jew(ish) you can join JEWISHcolorado’s Young Adult Division (YAD) volunteer leadership team. YAD leaders are creative, excellent communicators, team-oriented, energetic, and skilled schmoozers. Many leaders in the greater JEWISHcolorado space, including the Board of Directors, got their start in YAD leadership. If you’re interested in starting or continuing your leadership journey, apply by June 10.

YAD Executive Committee
JEWISHcolorado’s Young Adult Division Executive Committee is the leading voice for young Jewish adults between the ages of 21 and 45 throughout Colorado. By using our LIVE, GIVE, LEAD structure, Executive Committee Members work closely with the YAD Chair and JEWISHcolorado staff to guide YAD’s objectives, steward our community, and serve as representatives of both YAD and JEWISHcolorado in the greater Colorado Jewish community.
All Executive Committee Members are expected to:
- Serve a 2 year term
- Provide thought leadership, partnership, planning, strategy, and implementation for the Young Adult Division of JEWISHcolorado
- Serve as a representative of YAD and JEWISHcolorado in the greater community by advocating for YAD and JEWISHcolorado’s missions
- Participate in monthly YAD Executive Committee Meetings and present position reports
- Communicate prior to meetings and events with YAD Staff and YAD Chair regarding roles and responsibilities
- Oversee sub-committees related to role on YAD Executive Committee: participate in meetings, communicate with Chairs, provide ideas and strategies to ensure efforts adhere to and further overall YAD mission and priorities
- Attend YAD and JEWISHcolorado events outside of respective role, when appropriate and available, with emphasis on signature events
- Attend Jewish community events outside of JEWISHcolorado
- Articulate personal reasons for involvement to Jewish community members
- Actively recruit participants for YAD and JEWISHcolorado events
- Ensure specific oversight elements contribute to the LIVE, GIVE, LEAD structure and overall enhancement of YAD and JEWISHcolorado
- Ensure that committee members and constituents are meaningfully engaged and actively serving as YAD stewards in the community
- Participate in YAD fundraising strategies and efforts
- Make a meaningful philanthropic gift of any size to JEWISHcolorado’s annual campaign

YAD Ambassadors
Are you creative, confident, and committed? Are you a good communicator or an innovative influencer? Are you energetic, empathetic, a good listener, or a smooth talker? Whether you’re introverted or extroverted, affiliated or unaffiliated, Jewish or Jew(ish), you can be a YAD Ambassador! YAD is committed to facilitating the intimate gatherings, meaningful conversations, and lasting friendships that are hallmarks of this program and of community, and we need your help.
Our ambassadors—and those they represent—cover a broad spectrum of demographics, from new college graduates to young singles to couples and parents and all sorts of other identities. The only qualifier is age; YAD serves adults ages 21–45.
All YAD Ambassadors are expected to:
- Attend all training sessions
- Independently plan and host 3 community-building YAD Ambassador Gatherings in the year following the training, with the support of the YAD professional team
- Host 1-2 Party of Eight dinners and 1-2 Ambassador-led Shabbat or Havdallah dinners in the year following training
- Serve as a contact for newcomers to our community
- Attend at least 1 YAD Shabbat and 1 Ambassador Gathering that is not your own
- Make a meaningful philanthropic gift of any size to JEWISHcolorado’s annual campaign
