Chanukah at the Capitol With Governor Polis

Join Governor Polis, State Government representatives & the wider Denver Community for the annual Chanukah Menorah lighting on the West Steps. With food & fun for all ages, look forward to live music, an epic fire show, BBQ, doughnuts, swag, and more!

As the Jewish holiday of light, Chanukah is a celebration of that which we hold most dear to us. Here in the United States, we are blessed to live in a country that truly values the right to religious freedom, a right that the public Menorah lighting celebrates with joy and festivity. We are excited for you to join us for this evening of community unity, pride, and light with food and fun for all ages, including a giant Menorah, formal addresses from State Government officials, Chabad Hebrew School Choir of South Metro Denver, a breathtaking fire show, delicious, BBQ, the Steve Brodski Band, doughnuts, chocolate Chanukah coins and more! 

Event Schedule:

5:00pm -Event commences with BBQ, donuts, hot drinks, Chanukah concert with Steve Brodsky, mascots, and entertainment.

5:30pm -Welcome, grand Menorah lighting ceremony with Governor Polis and Government representatives, Chabad Hebrew School Choir of South Metro Denver

6:00pm – Kids Chanukah gift bags, entertainment including a giant gelt drop from a fire truck, a fire show and more live music.
