Join us in a safe & sacred space to process & unpack the trauma surrounding the war in Israel amid the rise of antisemitism. We will reflect on our individual and collective experiences and will learn how to frame our responses through a trauma lens, understand common stress responses, and develop strategies that promote personal and community resilience. Attending to our psychological health is critical to sturdy ourselves emotionally now and for the road ahead. This program will help us develop a deeper understanding of our shared experience and empower us to focus on things we can do to strengthen ourselves and our community.

Dr. Felicia Greher, PhD., Clinical Psychologist will facilitate the conversation, and Nelly Ben Tal, JEWISHcolorado’s Shlicha will provide an update on Israel.

Dr. Greher received her B.A. from Emory University and her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of North Texas. Over the past 17 years, she has provided psychological services in various healthcare settings, including the Denver VA, the University of Colorado Boulder and the University of Colorado Hospital Integrative Medicine Clinic. She recently joined the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Colorado School of Medicine where she serves as a psychologist in the Student and Resident Mental Health Clinic. Dr. Greher maintains her own private practice where she treats clients with complex psychological and medical conditions including anxiety, trauma, depression, grief/loss, adjustment to illness, and caregiver stress. She also works with professionals and organizational teams to provide intervention, consultation, and training on burnout prevention and resiliency. Dr. Greher is dedicated to strengthening the Denver Jewish community through her congregational work at Temple Emanuel and committee work at Denver Jewish Day School. She previously served on the Rose Women’s Organization Board and is a current member of JEWISHcolorado’s Women’s Philanthropy Committee.
