Text and Context: The Valley Awakens

Leah Peer, music director of Kol Nashim – the women’s choir
of the Colorado Hebrew Chorale, will present a discussion of the text and
context of Joanna Chen’s poem, “The Valley Awakens” which was set to
music by Colorado composer David Wohl. Kol Nashim premiered the piece at its
gala, Raisins and Almonds in January 2020.  The program  will take
place on Zoom on Sunday, Nov. 21, 7-7:45 pm.  Mr. Wohl will participate
live and a special video contribution by Ms. Chen will be shared.  The event
